The WIKA TR21-A resistance thermometer provides temperature measurement in sanitary applications and can be used for the measurement of liquid and gaseous media in the range of -30 … +250 °C (-22 … +482 °F). For application in hazardous areas, intrinsically safe versions are available. These thermometers are fitted with thermowells, whose process connections meet the stringent requirements, in terms of materials and design, of hygienic measuring points. All electrical components are protected against moisture (IP67 or IP69K). The resistance thermometer is available with direct sensor output or integrated transmitter, which can be configured individually via the PC configuration software WIKAsoft-TT. Measuring range, damping, error signalling per NAMUR NE43 and TAG no. can be adjusted. For easy calibration or maintenance, the sensor is removable without having to break into the process or disconnect the electrical connection. Thus hygiene risks can be minimised, and downtimes can be reduced. The spring loading, integrated into the union nut, guarantees the contact between the sensor tip and the bottom of the thermowell and thus ensures a short response time and lasting high accuracy. The welded junction between the thermowell and the flange makes the use of a sealing as additional material in those areas redundant which are in contact with the product. Insertion length, process connection, sensor and connection method can each be selected for the respective application within the order information. The electrical connection is made via an M12 x 1 circular connector. The WIKA TR22-A resistance thermometer is used for temperature measurement in sanitary applications. The process connections meet the stringent requirements, in terms of materials and design, of hygienic measuring points. With increased hygienic requirements for the ambient areas around the measuring point, a stainless steel head is available in an optimised hygienic design. This enables easy cleaning of the measuring instrument, particularly for splash zones in food production. Due to the rotatable screw connection to the connection head, it is possible to loosen the connection head and to adjust it in the desired position. The connection head can be removed together with the measuring insert. This allows the resistance thermometer to be calibrated along with the whole measuring chain, i.e. without disconnecting the electrical connections. In addition, this avoids having to open the process, and thus the risk of contamination is minimised. The spring-loaded measuring insert guarantees the contact between the sensor tip and the bottom of the thermowell and thus ensures a fast response time and high accuracy. The WIKA TR30 resistance thermometer can be used for pressures up to 40 bar (unique designs to 400 bar dependent on insertion length and diameter). All electrical components are protected against splashed water and are designed to withstand vibration. The Danfoss MBT 153 is a universal cable temperature sensor used to control cooling water and ventilation systems within general industry applications. The MBT 153 temperature sensor is based on a standardized Pt 100 or Pt 1000 element, which gives a reliable and accurate measurement. On request, Danfoss can also deliver the MBT 153 sensor with NTC / PTC elements. The sensor is based on a stainless steel housing with a cable, making the sensor extremely flexible. The MBT 153 can be combined with a sensor pocket, type MBT 120, to protect the silicone cable from the media. The sensor combined with the sensor pocket is named MBT 5253.
