Model B Thermostatic Control Valve

Model B Thermostatic Control Valve

1048

The AMOT Model B thermostatic 3-way control valves are available in a wide selection of sizes and settings to fill many fluid temperature control requirements. The model B thermostatic control valve may be mounted in any position and use the proven expanding wax principle to actuate the 3-way temperature element assemblies. The model B valves can be used for diverting or mixing service. The AMOT thermostatic valve is a very economical temperature limiting valve for engine and lubricating oil cooling and prevents scalding in-home, motel or hotel hot water supply systems. Radiant heating systems can use these valves in limiting water temperature to avoid surface cracking and over-heating of plastic piping. Other applications include electronic and battery cooling circuits, pump temperature relief valves etc.

L1S 2-way Control Valve

L1S 2-way Control Valve

7389

The Clorius Controls L1S 2-way control valve components spindle, seat and cone are made of stainless steel. The L1S valve body is made of gunmetal RG 5. The thread for the actuator connection is G1B ISO 228. The valve is single seated. The leakage rate is less than 0.05% of the full flow (according to VDI/VDE 2174). Without the actuator being connected, the Clorius L1S control valve is held in an open position using a spring. With pressure on the spindle, the valve will close. In connection with thermostats, pneumatic or electric actuators, the valve will close at rising temperatures. For cooling circuits, the valve can be used in conjunction with a reverse acting electric actuator. Alternatively, a reverse acting valve can be used with our self-acting thermostats. The quadratic characteristic will not cease until the flow has dropped below 4% of the full flow.

M1FBN 2-way Control Valve

M1FBN 2-way Control Valve

8960

The Clorius type M1FBN 2-way balanced control valve is designed for regulating hot water, steam and hot oil systems. Balanced valves are used in installations where the system pressure necessitates a closing force greater than available in the actuator programme for a standard single-seated valve, and where the leakage rate for a double-seated valve is unacceptable. The type M1FBN control valve is used in conjunction with our temperature or pressure differential regulators for controlling industrial processes, district or central heating plants or marine installations. Design The valve components, spindle, seat and cone – are made of stainless steel. The M1FBN body is made of cast iron EN-GJS-400-15 with flanges drilled according to EN 1092-2 or ANSI B16.5 Class 150. The thread for the actuator connection is G1B ISO 228. The valves are single-seated. The leakage rate is less than 0.05% of the full flow (according to VDI/VDE 2174). Function Without an actuator being connected, the valve is held in an open position using a spring. With force on the spindle, the valve will close. In connection with our thermostats, pneumatic or electric actuators, the valves will close at rising temperatures. For cooling circuits, the valve can be used in conjunction with a reverse acting electric actuator. The quadratic characteristic will not cease until the flow has dropped below 4% of the full flow.

L2FR (Reverse Acting) 2-way Control Valve

L2FR (Reverse Acting) 2-way Control Valve

8964

The Clorius L2FR (reverse acting) 2-way control valves with 2 single seats are designed for regulating low, medium, high-pressure hot water and hot and cold seawater. The L2FR reverse acting gun metal valve is installed combined with Clorius self-acting thermostats, pressure differential regulators or electric valve actuators for regulation in central heating plants, industrial plants, industrial processes or marine installations – especially in control systems for cooling as the reverse acting valve is held in a closed position using a built-in spring, the max. differential pressure, which a valve can close, depends on the spring, and when opening the valve, the actuator has to overcome the spring force.

L1SBR (Reverse Acting) 2-way Control Valve

8971

The Clorius L1SBR (reversed acting) 2-way control valve is mainly designed for the regulation of cooling water and lubricating liquids. The L1SBR balanced valve is used in installations where the system pressure necessitates a closing force greater than available in the actuator programme for a standard single-seated valve, and where the leakage rate for a double-seated valve is unacceptable. The valves are installed combined with Clorius self-acting thermostats, pressure differential regulators or electric actuators for regulation in industrial plants, industrial processes or marine installations – especially in control systems for cooling. Design The valve components – spindle, seats and cone – are made of stainless steel. The valve body is made of gunmetal RG 5. The thread for the actuator connection is G1B ISO 228. The valve is single-seated, balanced. The leakage rate is less than 0.05% of the full flow (according to VDI/VDE 2174). Function Without the actuator being connected, the valve is held in a closed position by means of a spring. With pressure on the spindle, the valve opens. In connection with our thermostats, the valves will open at rising temperatures. In connection with our electric actuators, the valves will either close or open, depending on the application. The quadratic characteristic will not cease until the flow has dropped below 4% of the full flow.

G2FR (Reverse Acting) 2-way Control Valve

G2FR (Reverse Acting) 2-way Control Valve

8984

The Clorius G2FR (reverse acting) 2-way control valve is mainly intended to control cooling systems. The G2FR control valve is used in conjunction with temperature- or pressure differential regulators. As the reverse acting valve is held in a closed position using a built-in spring, the max. differential pressure, ΔpL, against which a valve can close depends on the spring, and when opening the valve, the actuator has to overcome the spring force. See datasheet to find the max. allowable values of ΔpL as well as the max. allowable inlet pressures for opening the valves, p1max for various actuator forces. Design The valve components, spindle, seats and cone, are made of stainless steel. The valve body is made of nodular cast iron EN-GJS-400-15 with flanges drilled according to EN 1092-2. The connection thread for the actuator is G1B ISO 228. The valves are double-seated and designed for tight closure. The leakage rate is less than 0.5% of the full flow (according to VDI/VDE 2174). Function Reverse Acting Without an actuator being connected, the valve is held in a closed position using a spring. With pressure on the spindle, the valve opens. In connection with our actuators, the valves act as œcooling valves, i.e. they open at rising temperatures. The linear characteristic will not cease until the flow has dropped below 4% of the full flow.
