Model B Thermostatic Control Valve

The AMOT Model B thermostatic 3-way control valves are available in a wide selection of sizes and settings to fill many fluid temperature control requirements. The model B thermostatic control valve may be mounted in any position and use the proven expanding wax principle to actuate the 3-way temperature element assemblies. The model B valves can be used for diverting or mixing service. The AMOT thermostatic valve is a very economical temperature limiting valve for engine and lubricating oil cooling and prevents scalding in-home, motel or hotel hot water supply systems. Radiant heating systems can use these valves in limiting water temperature to avoid surface cracking and over-heating of plastic piping. Other applications include electronic and battery cooling circuits, pump temperature relief valves etc.

Duostats

The Clorius Duostats are thermostats, type V, which via two sensing elements in a common hydraulic system act on one and the same control valve. Two basic types are available: Clorius V4.05- or Clorius V4.10 duostat, depending on the preferable proportional band PB, and the valve size. The sensing elements are two spiral sensors for the ventilation duct or two-rod sensors (a combination of one spiral sensor and one-rod sensor may be supplied in certain combinations). The effect, which the two sensing elements have on the adjustment, is proportional to the liquid volume of the individual sensors. Duostats are therefore available with varying proportions between the liquid volumes of the two sensors (sensor proportions) and in that way they can meet the requirements made by a number of different adjustment problems. As the adjustment result is a weighted average value of the temperatures of the two sensors, noï¬xed adjustment value can be indicated. Hence, Duostats are not equipped with a temperature scale, but with a marking for adjustment towards higher or lower temperatures, respectively.

The Clorius V2 / V4 / V8 Self-Acting Thermostats can be used to control cold or hot water, steam or oil in heating and cooling systems. Thermostat A thermostat consists of a sensor and a capillary tube, ï¬ filled with liquid, and an adjusting cylinder. The thermostat type designations and technical data are speciï¬ ed in ï¬ g. 2. With temperatures above 170ºC, a cooling unit must be ï¬ fitted between the valve and the thermostat – see ï¬ g. 1. The thermostat is self-acting and works on the principle of liquid expansion, it is sturdy in its design, and works with a large closing force – see ï¬ g. 2 Sensor The following sensor types are available : Rod sensor in copper or stainless steel and spiral sensor in copper with threaded connection according to ISO R7/1. Spiral sensor (copper only) with air duct flange. Rod/spiral sensor with steel flange DN 50, PN 40 and DN 50, PN 160. Sensor without connection. Usually used with capillary pack box for temperature control in tanks. Capillary Tube The capillary tube is made of copper, stainless steel, or PVC-coated copper but can also be delivered with flexible iron tube protection.
