TR81 Resistance Thermometer
3237
The WIKA TR81 resistance thermometers assemblies consist of a connection head Form B, a measuring insert per DIN 43 735 and a WIKA TW81 thermowell. Form A or C DIN-thermowells, as well as thermowells with customer-specific design, are available. The process connection can be provided with a stop flange or pipe coupling. The latter type gives a gastight connection. These temperature probes are suitable for gaseous media in low-pressure ranges (up to approx. 1 bar). Various thermowell materials are used with or without enamelling to meet the requirements of thermal stress. The measuring insert is replaceable. This makes inspection and, when servicing is necessary, replacement possible during operation and while the plant is running. Selection of normal or standard lengths enables short delivery time and the possibility of stocking spare components. Thermowell material, connection head and the sensor can be selected individually for the respective application. A transmitter can be fitted as an option. One of the advantages of a built-in transmitter is the increased reliability of signal transmission.

TR10-A Resistance Thermometer
4296
The measuring inserts per DIN 43735 for the WIKA TR10-A resistance thermometers described here is designed for installation in a protective fitting. Operation without a thermowell is only advisable in particular cases. The measuring insert is manufactured from a bendable, mineral-insulated sheathed cable. The sensor is located at the tip of the measuring insert. The measuring inserts are delivered with loading springs to ensure good contact to the thermowell floor. Type and number of sensors, accuracy and method of connection can each be selected to suit the respective application. The range of applications is completed by designs without a terminal block for direct transmitter installation. Optionally, analogue or digital transmitters from the WIKA range can be installed.

TR10-B Resistance Thermometer
4299
The WIKA TR10-B resistance thermometer can be combined with a large number of thermowell designs. Operation without thermowell is only suggested in specific applications. A wide variety of possible combinations of Pt100 or Pt1000 sensor, connection head, insertion length, neck length, connection to thermowell, etc. are available for the thermometers; suitable for any thermowell dimension and any application. Optionally is to fit an analogue or digital transmitter from WIKA into the connection head of the TR10-B.

TR10-C RTD Sensor
4302
The WIKA TR10-C RTD sensor is designed for screw-fitting directly into the process, mainly in vessels and pipelines. The WIKA TR10-C RTD sensor is suitable for liquid and gaseous media under moderate mechanical load and normal chemical conditions. The protection tube from stainless steel is fully welded and screwed into the connection head. The interchangeable measuring insert can be removed without taking out the complete probe from the plant. This enables inspection, verification of the measuring chain and when servicing is necessary, replacement during operation and while the plant is running. Insertion length, process connection, thermowell design, connection head, type and number of sensors, accuracy and method of connection can each be selected to suit the respective application. Optionally is the choice between an analogue or digital transmitter from the WIKA range into the connection head of the TR10-C RTD sensor.

TR10-F Flanged Resistance Thermometer
4308
The WIKA TR10-F flanged resistance thermometer is designed for fitting into vessels and pipelines. Standard flanges to DIN EN or ASME are available. The TR10-F temperature sensor is suitable for liquid and gaseous media under moderate mechanical load. The protection tube is all welded and screwed into the connection head. Stainless steel protection tubes are suitable for standard chemical conditions. A coating is recommended as an optional extra with chemically aggressive media or solid wear-resistant coating for abrasive media. The interchangeable measuring insert can be removed without taking out the entire sensor from the plant. This enables inspection, measuring equipment monitoring or, when servicing is necessary, a replacement while the plant is running. The choice of standard lengths assists with short delivery times and the possibility of stocking spare parts. Insertion length, flange size, protection tube design, connection head and the sensor can each be selected to suit the respective application. additional is the option to fit an analogue or digital transmitter from the WIKA range into the connection head of the TR10-F.

TR10-H Resistance Thermometer
4311
The WIKA TR10-H resistance thermometer without thermowell is especially suitable for those applications in which the metal sensor tip is mounted directly into bored holes (e.g. in machine components) or directly into the process for any application with no chemically aggressive media or abrasion. For mounting into a thermowell, a spring-loaded compression fitting should be provided, since only this can press the sensor tip into the bottom of the thermowell. Otherwise, a potentially critical force could be exerted on the measuring tip. Mounting is usually made directly into the process. Fastening elements such as threaded fittings, union nuts, etc. are available as options. The flexible part of the sensor is a mineral-insulated cable (sheathed cable). It consists of a stainless steel outer sheath in which the internal lead is pressed and isolated within a high-density ceramic mass. The measuring resistance is connected directly to the inner leads of the sheathed cable and is, therefore, also suitable for use at higher temperatures. Due to their flexibility and the small possible diameters, enclosed resistance thermometers can also be used in locations that are not easily accessible, since, except for the sensor tip and the transition of the connection cable, the sheath can be bent to a radius of three times the diameter of the cable.

TR10-J Threaded Resistance Thermometer
4314
The WIKA TR10-J threaded resistance thermometer is specially designed for screw-fitting directly in ventilation ducts. Due to the perforation, the measuring insert is in direct contact with the medium, and this considerably improves the response time. The measuring insert is sealed towards the connection head so that no medium can escape outside. Insertion length, process connection, thermowell design, connection head, type and number of sensors, accuracy and method of connection can each be selected to suit the respective application. Optionally is the fit of an analogue or digital transmitter from WIKA into the connection head of the TR10-J.

TR10-K Resistance Thermometer
4317
The measuring inserts for the WIKA TR10-K resistance thermometers are designed for installation in a WIKA TR10-L thermometer. Operation without thermowell is appropriate only in special cases. The measuring insert is made of flexible, mineral insulated sheathed cable. The sensor is located in the tip of the measuring insert. The measuring inserts are delivered with pressure springs to ensure that the measuring inserts are pressed down to the thermowell bottom. Following designs are possible: with a mounting sleeve to suit the inner diameter of the thermowell without terminal block with transmitter Type and number of sensors, accuracy and method of connection can each be selected to suit the respective application. Only correct measuring insert length and correct measuring insert diameter ensure sufficient heat transfer from thermowell to the measuring insert. The range of applications is completed by designs without a terminal block for direct transmitter installation. Optionally, an analogue or digital transmitter can be installed.
