Mounting of the diaphragm seal to the measuring instrument may be made via a direct connection, for high temperatures via a cooling element or via a flexible capillary. Optionally, there are pipe elbows and vibration dampers available. For the material selection, WIKA offers a variety of solutions, in which the upper body of the diaphragm seal and the wetted parts can be made of identical or different materials. The WIKA 981.22, 981.52 and 981.53 in-line diaphragm seals are suitable for use in the measurement of flowing media. In addition to avoiding potential blockages in the process, in-line measurement technology also contributes to securing product quality, mainly through its perfect cleanability. Due to the continuous cylindrical diaphragm, the measuring locations feature neither dead spaces nor non-flushable branches. The good cleanability of the in-line diaphragm seals has been tested and confirmed by independent institutions (e.g. EHEDG, BioProcessing Institute). The diaphragm seals can withstand the cleaning vapour temperatures occurring in the SIP processes and thus ensure a sterile connection between the medium to be measured and the diaphragm seal. P 700.3 Hydraulic Hand Test Pump

The SIKA P 700.3 hydraulic hand test pump is designed to enable the direct connection of all pressure systems to be tested using adapters. The test sample is easily connected using the rugged industrial hose with integrated quick coupling and supplied adapters. The reference is fitted directly at the top of the pump using a positioning adapter. The required test pressure is initially generated using the handles and then adjusted precisely with the fine adjustment valve. As a result, the pressure on both instruments is the same. The pressure relief valve allows continuous pressure reduction and ensures accurate and easy testing, even with decreasing pressure. In the simplest case, the pressure is indicated by an analogue pressure gauge. An easy to read digital pressure gauge or hand-held instrument can also be used. The accuracy or adjustment of the pressure measuring device being tested can be checked by comparing the indicated reference value with the measured value for the device under test. Mobile and independent SIKA test pumps and pressure generators are ideal for mobile use. Their low weight and compact design make them easy to transport directly to the measurement site. The instruments can be used immediately and do not require an additional power supply. There is no need to take along nitrogen bottles or connect the equipment to a compressed air network. VTY 20 Turbine Flow Sensor

The SIKA VTY 20 turbine flow sensor gives you precise and robust products to measure flow rates or total flows, for water and water mixtures. Turbine flow sensors of the series VTY stainless steel were specially developed for the use in industrial applications. The sensors are particularly suitable for use in, e.g. dosing systems, heaters, coolers or temperature control units. The liquid flowing into the turbine flow sensor is split into individual jets by the flow straightener. These jets hit the rotor evenly, setting the rotor in motion. The rotation speed of the rotor is then converted to an electrical pulse signal (frequency): The rotor is fitted with magnets, and a Hall effect sensor detects the rotation of the rotor. A flow-proportional frequency signal (square-wave signal) is made available. Given the uniform inflow to the bearing, the forces largely cancel themselves out and wear reduced to a minimum. The sturdy bearing materials – sapphire and hard metal – also guarantee an exceptionally long endurance.

The WIKA 981.52 and 981.53 In-Line diaphragm seals with clamp connections, due to their circular design, can be mounted directly into the pipeline, meaning no special measuring point connection is required. Through the integration into the process line, turbulences, dead spaces, corners and other obstructions can be avoided. For this diaphragm seal, WIKA uses a completely round diaphragm, which, due to the unobstructed flow of the media, produces an automatic cleaning of the chamber. The diaphragm seal systems can withstand the cleaning vapour temperatures occurring in the SIP processes and thus ensure a sterile connection between the medium to be measured and the diaphragm seal. Assembly of the diaphragm seal and measuring instrument is made via a direct assembly as standard or optionally via a cooling element or a flexible capillary. For the material selection, WIKA offers a variety of solutions, in which the upper body and the diaphragm are made of identical materials. Stainless steel 316L (1.4435) is used as standard material, other special materials are available on request. Digital Pressure Gauge Type P

The SIKA Type P digital pressure gauge is suitable for both stationary and mobile measurement and display of pressure. The SIKA Type P digital pressure gauge can be used as a reference to explain the checking, adjustment and calibration of other pressure measurement devices directly on-site. Linearisation Multi-point adjustment can be performed if it is necessary to adjust the indicated values at different test points. Two-point adjustment is available for setting the zero point and slope of the measuring cell curve. Type P digital pressure gauges allow up to six offset values to be programmed to shift the characteristic curve to meet the most stringent customer expectations. PC connection and software Many digital pressure gauges have a serial interface port to allow measurement values and stored data to be transferred directly to a PC and documented. An inexpensive measurement data acquisition system can easily be assembled with suitable software and an interface converter. Processes can be readily monitored and analysed using the recorded and visualised measurements, and all data can be exported using standard programs such as Microsoft Excel. Remote control is also possible. Various software packages with extensive recording and display functions, logger and alarm evaluation as well as for calibration are available. Analogue output An electrical output signal enables remote display on a control console or in a control room as well as the connection of external recorders and indicating instruments. Relay output Digital pressure gauges allow limit contacts to be closed even at low pressures. There is no need for high actuation forces for magnetic spring or inductive contacts, which makes it easier to signal critical equipment conditions and perform supplementary control tasks.

CPG-KITH Hydraulic Service Kit

The WIKA CPG-KITH hydraulic service kit is the ideal tool for the hydraulic testing, adjustment and calibration of mechanical and electronic pressure measuring instruments through comparative measurements or for the setting of pressure switches. These and other tests can take place quickly and reliably in the laboratory or workshop, or on-site at the measuring point. With the service kit, service and maintenance are more complete, safer and more flexible. The kit is high-quality finish, handy and robust and is also suitable for service use. Components The service kit consists of a hydraulic hand test pump for the generation of defined test pressure and also a highly accurate model CPG1500 precision digital pressure gauge as a reference instrument. Air is used as the pressure medium. Various connection adapters are also available in the test case. All components are carefully stowed in the case and protected for in-house transport. Simple function If one connects the test item and the model CPG1500 precision digital pressure gauge to the test pump, on actuating the pump, the same pressure will act on both instruments. Using the fine adjustment valve, the test pressure is set precisely. By comparison of the two measured values at any given pressure value, a check of the accuracy and/or adjustment of the pressure measuring instrument under test can be carried out. WIKA-Cal software The collected data from the data logger of the digital pressure gauge can be transmitted wirelessly to the WIKA-Cal calibration software for further evaluation.
