The SIKA VTY 20 turbine flow sensor gives you precise and robust products to measure flow rates or total flows, for water and water mixtures. Turbine flow sensors of the series VTY stainless steel were specially developed for the use in industrial applications. The sensors are particularly suitable for use in, e.g. dosing systems, heaters, coolers or temperature control units. The liquid flowing into the turbine flow sensor is split into individual jets by the flow straightener. These jets hit the rotor evenly, setting the rotor in motion. The rotation speed of the rotor is then converted to an electrical pulse signal (frequency): The rotor is fitted with magnets, and a Hall effect sensor detects the rotation of the rotor. A flow-proportional frequency signal (square-wave signal) is made available. Given the uniform inflow to the bearing, the forces largely cancel themselves out and wear reduced to a minimum. The sturdy bearing materials – sapphire and hard metal – also guarantee an exceptionally long endurance.

Tare / Zero-Function User-defined zero point setting at the push of a button makes offset adjustment easy and eliminates the need for tedious mechanical adjustment. Single-point adjustment allows the linear characteristic curve to be shifted in a positive or negative direction over the entire measuring range. Selectable pressure units Another feature is the large selection of pressure units. Up to 6 different units are possible “ far more than any complicated dual-scale or multi-scale gauge can offer. The required display unit is selected directly on the digital pressure gauge and is indicated on display. No conversion necessary; the desired value can be read directly. Min / Max Displays and Peak function Experience shows that excess pressure and pressure peaks significantly higher than normal operating pressure occur at some measuring points. Min / max displays and fast peak value measurement cycles in digital pressure gauges assist in system analysis and allow peak values to be determined. This allows incorrect readings and violations of range limits to be detected and helps avoid damage to pressure systems. Preventive service is often less expensive than repairing or replacing defective instruments.

Display damping or averaging can be configured directly using display filters. This ensures easy, tireless readout. Protection class High IP protection classes (IP67 (front) / IP67) are available to minimise dust and water sensitivity. Rugged, impact-resistant digital pressure gauges are fitted with rubber caps for protection during transport and field use. Battery operation / Auto-Off Power is supplied by long-life batteries (ordinary or rechargeable). An external AC adapter can also be used. To increase battery operating time, a Programmable Auto-Off function switches off the power to the instrument after prolonged inactivity. The electronics are designed for extremely low power consumption, which enables battery life of significantly more than 1500 hours.

The WIKA CPG-KITP pneumatic service kit is the ideal tool for the pneumatic testing, adjustment and calibration of mechanical and electronic pressure measuring instruments through comparative measurements or for the setting of pressure switches. These and other tests can take place quickly and reliably in the laboratory or workshop, or on-site at the measuring point. With the service kit, service and maintenance are more complete, safer and more flexible. The kit is high-quality finish, handy and robust and is also suitable for service use. Components The service kit consists of a pneumatic hand test pump for the generation of defined test pressure and also a highly accurate WIKA CPG1500 precision digital pressure gauge as a reference instrument. Air is used as the pressure medium. Various connection adapters are also available in the test case. All components are carefully stowed in the case and protected for in-house transport. Simple function If one connects the test item and the WIKA CPG1500 precision digital pressure gauge to the test pump, on actuating the pump, the same pressure will act on both instruments. Using the fine adjustment valve, the test pressure is set precisely. By comparison of the two measured values at any given pressure value, a check of the accuracy and/or adjustment of the pressure measuring instrument under test can be carried out. WIKA-CAL software The collected data from the data logger of the digital pressure gauge can be transmitted wirelessly to the WIKA-CAL calibration software for further evaluation.
