DPGT43.100 / 43.160 Pressure Gauge

DPGT43.100 / 43.160 Pressure Gauge

1507

At any point where a differential pressure has to be indicated locally, and, at the same time, a signal is wanted to be transmitted to a central controller or remote control room, the WIKA DPGT43.100 / 43.160 intelliGAUGE can be used. Through the combination of a high-quality mechanical measuring system and precise electronic signal processing, the process pressure can be read securely, even if the power supply is lost. An additional measuring point for mechanical pressure indication can thus be saved. The WIKA DPGT43.100/43.160 is based upon a model 732.51 high quality, stainless steel pressure gauge with a nominal size of 100 or 160. The pressure gauge is manufactured by EN 837-3. These differential pressure gauges are made of highly corrosion-resistant stainless steel and feature an all-metal media chamber sealing. Therefore no elastomer sealing elements are required so that a better long-term leak tightness is ensured. A high overpressure safety is achieved by the all-metal construction and the close-fitting design of the measuring element. The rugged design of the diaphragm measuring system produces a pointer rotation proportional to the pressure. An electronic angle encoder, proven in safety-critical automotive applications, determines the position of the pointer shaft – it is a non-contact sensor and therefore completely free from wear and friction. From this, the electrical output signal proportional to the pressure, e.g. 4 … 20 mA, is produced. The electronic WIKA transmitter, integrated into the high-quality mechanical differential pressure gauge, combines the advantages of electrical signal transmission with the advantages of a local mechanical display. The measuring span (electrical output signal) is set automatically along with the mechanical display, i.e. the scale over the full display range corresponds to 4 … 20 mA. The electrical zero point can also be set manually.

Model 73 Gas-actuated Thermometer

Model 73 Gas-actuated Thermometer

2870

The WIKA 73 gas-actuated thermometer has been developed and is manufactured in accordance with the EN 13190 standard. The high-quality thermometer has been designed, especially for the requirements of the process industry. Especially in the chemical and petrochemical, oil and gas, and power engineering industries, the thermometer completely manufactured from stainless steel is used successfully. The stem, the process connection and the case of the gas-actuated thermometers are made from stainless steel. To allow optimum fitting to the process, individual insertion lengths and process connections are available. The thermometers have a high ingress protection of IP65 and can be used in outdoor applications even at negative temperatures. With liquid damping operation under high vibration, conditions are possible. Due to the wide variety of possible designs, the model 73 gas-actuated thermometers can be perfectly adapted to any process connection or location. With the adjustable stem and dial version, the case can be adjusted precisely to the desired viewing angle. With the contact bulb version, temperature measurements are possible without any contact with the medium, even when the pipe diameter is minimal. The contact bulb is intended for external mounting on pipes and tanks. When mounting this thermometer version, it must be ensured that the contact bulb is in contact with the measuring point over its complete length.

Wherever the process temperature has to be indicated on-site or in places that are difficult to access and, at the same time, circuits need to be switched, the WIKA TGS73 gas-actuated thermometer with switch contacts finds its use. Due to the wide variety of possible designs, the WIKA TGS73 gas-actuated thermometers can be perfectly adapted to any process connection or location. With the adjustable stem and dial version, the case can be adjusted precisely to the desired viewing angle. With the contact bulb version (without direct contact with the medium), the temperature can be measured and controlled even when the pipe diameter is extremely small. The contact bulb is intended for external mounting on pipes and tanks. When mounting this thermometer version, it must be ensured that the contact bulb is in contact with the measuring point over its complete length Switch contacts (electrical alarm contacts) make or break circuits dependent upon the pointer position of the indicating measuring instrument. The switch contacts are adjustable over the full measuring range. The instrument pointer (actual value pointer) moves freely across the entire scale range, independent of the setting. The set pointer can be adjusted via the window using a removable adjustment key (mounted on the terminal box). Switch contacts consisting of several contacts can also be set to a single set point. Contact actuation is made when the actual value pointer travels beyond or below the desired set point. As switch contacts, magnetic snap-action contacts, inductive contacts and electronic contacts are available. Inductive contacts can be used in hazardous areas. For triggering programmable logic controllers (PLC), electronic contacts can be used.

432.50 / 433.50 Diaphragm Pressure Gauge

432.50 / 433.50 Diaphragm Pressure Gauge

3283

Diaphragm pressure gauges are preferably used for low-pressure ranges. Through the large working surface of the circular, corrugated diaphragm element, small pressure ranges can be measured reliably. The WIKA 432.50 diaphragm pressure gauge is manufactured in accordance with EN 837-3. The high-quality design is particularly suitable for applications in the chemical and petrochemical industry, oil and gas industry and power engineering. The case and wetted parts from stainless steel fulfil high requirements for resistance against aggressive media. For especially high resistance requirements, the pressure chamber of this diaphragm pressure gauge can, as an option, be designed with a wide variety of unique materials such as PTFE, tantalum or Hastelloy. For the measurement of highly viscous, crystallising or contaminated media, the use of an open connecting flange is recommended. The open connecting flange has the advantage over a threaded connection that the pressure port cannot become blocked. With an additional flushing connection on the open connecting flange, the pressure chamber can be easily cleaned. Measuring systems with diaphragm elements, on the grounds of their design, offer excellent protection from overpressure, since the diaphragm can support itself against the upper flange. As standard, the model 432.50 diaphragm pressure gauge already features an overload safety of 5 times the full-scale value. Optionally, higher overload safeties can be realised.

PGS21 Bourdon Tube Pressure Gauge

PGS21 Bourdon Tube Pressure Gauge

3349

The WIKA PGS21 switchGAUGE is a combination of a bourdon tube pressure gauge and a pressure switch. It offers the usual analogue display, which can be read on-site irrespective of the power supply, and in addition the possibility to switch a potential-free electrical signal. One or two fixed switch points are factory-set to customer requirements, between 10 and 90 % of the scale range, and indicated on the dial by red mark pointers. Depending on the pressure gauge's pointer position, the circuit will be opened or closed. Thus the switchGAUGE can be used actively for process monitoring, for example, to control the level of a gas cylinder or a hydraulic circuit. The switchGAUGE is available as standard in scale ranges from 0 … 2.5 to 0 … 400 bar with an accuracy class of 2.5 and a 1 m round cable for the electrical connection. Through various options (e.g. other scale ranges, higher accuracy class, different cable lengths, plug connection) the pressure measuring instrument can be matched precisely to the customer-specific requirements of each application. The instrument has been designed in accordance with EN 837-1 and fulfils all the requirements within it. Furthermore, it features increased ingress protection of IP 65 and can, therefore, be offered with optional liquid filling to increase its vibration resistance.
