TW20 Thermowell

TW20 Thermowell

3140

Each thermowell is an essential component of any temperature measurement point. The WIKA TW20 thermowell is used to separate the process from the surrounding area, thus protecting the environment and operating personnel and keeps aggressive media, high pressures and flow rates from the temperature sensor itself and thereby enables the thermometer to be exchanged during operation. Based on the almost limitless application possibilities, there are a large number of variants, such as thermowell designs or materials. The type of process connection and the primary method of manufacture are critical design differentiation criteria. A necessary differentiation can be made between threaded and weld-in thermowells, and those with flange connections. Furthermore, one can differentiate between fabricated and solid-machined thermowells. Fabricated thermowells are constructed from a tube, that is closed at the tip by a welded solid tip. Solid-machined thermowells are manufactured from bar stock. The WIKA TW20 series of solid-machined thermowells with flange connection are suitable for use with numerous electrical and mechanical thermometers from WIKA. Due to the heavy-duty design, these international design thermowells are the first choice to use the chemical and petrochemical industries and in plant construction. This thermowell can also be ordered with the innovative ScrutonWell® design. The added helical shape on the outside of the insert increases the thermowell™s resistance to the Kármán vortex street and the stress this causes on the instrument by breaking the vortex up into smaller vortices. By incorporating the helix onto the outside of the thermowell, the Scrutonwell® design reduces oscillation by more than 90%!

TR34 Miniature Resistance Thermometer

TR34 Miniature Resistance Thermometer

4337

The WIKA TR34 miniature resistance thermometer is used as universal thermometers for the measurement of liquid and gaseous media in the range -50 … +250 °C (-58 … +482 °F). The instruments are intrinsically safe and suitable for use in hazardous areas. The WIKA TR34 can be used for pressures up to 140 bar with 3 mm sensor diameters and up to 270 bar with 6 mm sensor diameters, depending on the instrument version. All electrical components are protected against humidity (IP67 or IP69K) and designed to withstand vibration (20 g, depending on instrument version). The resistance thermometer is available with direct sensor output or integrated transmitter, which can be configured individually via the PC configuration software WIKAsoft-TT. Measuring range, damping, fault signal per NAMUR NE43 and TAG no. can be adjusted. Insertion length, process connection, sensor and connection method can each be selected for the respective application within the order information. The WIKA TR34 resistance thermometer consists of a thermowell with a fixed process connection and is screwed directly into the process. The electrical connection is made via an M12 x 1 circular connector. An adapter for electrical connection with angular connector per DIN EN 175301-803 is optionally available (industrial property rights registered under No. 001370985).
