FLM-CA Magnetostrictive Level Transmitter

The WIKA FLM-CA magnetostrictive level transmitter is used for the high-accuracy, continuous level detection of liquids and is based on determining the position of a magnetic float according to the magnetostrictive measurement principle. The FLM-CA emits a 4 ¦ 20 mA output signal, which is configured via buttons within the probe head. Optionally, the WIKA FLM-CA is also available with HART ® protocol as a digital output signal. Probe lengths of 100 mm to 3 m and also various temperature and pressure ranges are possible. In comparison to the FLM-S, the FLM-CA is particularly notable for its very compact and space-saving design. In addition, it can be used in applications with vibrations up to 4 g.

FLR Reed Level Transmitter

The WIKA FLR transmitter with reed measuring chain are used for level measurement in liquid media. The FLR transmitter serries works on the float principle with magnetic transmission. The float's magnetic system in the guide tube actuates a resistance measuring chain that corresponds to a 3-wire potentiometer circuit. The measurement voltage generated by this is proportional to the fill level. The measurement voltage is very finely-stepped due to the contact separation of the measuring chain and is thus virtually continuous. FLS Magnetic Float Switch

In the WIKA FLS magnetic float switch a float with a permanent magnet moves reliably along with the liquid level on a guide tube. Within the guide tube is fitted a reed contact (inert gas contact), which is energised, through the non-magnetic walls of the float and guide tube, by the approach of the float magnet. By using a magnet and reed contact the switching operation is non-contact, free from wear and needs no power supply. The contacts are potentialfree. Float switches are also available with multiple switch points. The switching functions always refer to a rising liquid level: Normally open, normally closed or change-over contact. Through the use of a float for a max. of 2 switch points a bistable switch behaviour can be achieved, meaning that the switching status also remains available, when the filling level continues to rise above or drop below the switch point. The float switch is simple to mount and maintenance-free, so the costs of mounting, commissioning and operation are low.

FLM-H Magnetostrictive Sensor

The WIKA FLM-H magnetostrictive sensor has been specifically designed for the requirements of the food and beverage, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. The sensor is particularly suitable for the special conditions of CIP/SIP cleaning processes, such as chemical stability towards cleaning liquids and high temperatures. The guide tube is directly welded to the process connection, which guarantees a crevice-free connection, additional sealings are not required. The sensor is supplied with a DC voltage of 10 … 30 V. Available output signals are 4 … 20 mA or 4 … 20 mA with HART® signal. The hygienically designed sensor housing, with an ingress protection of up to IP 68, offers secure protection for external cleaning with splash water and enables its use in high-humidity environments. The model FLM-H sensor fulfils the high demands of sanitary applications. It is marked with the 3-A symbol and current version number, as it confirms, based on a third-party verification, to the 3-A standard.

LF-1 Submersible Pressure Transmitter

The WIKA LF-1 submersible pressure transmitter has been developed especially for the level measurement of fuels and oils. Extensive test cycles guarantee a permanent resistance and long service life in all oils and fuels as well as in aggressive crude oils and biofuels. Thanks to newly developed special cables, components made of high-alloyed stainless steel and optional overvoltage protection against lightning, the submersible pressure sensor for measurement applications in oils and fuels is also perfectly suited for use in the outdoor area. Precise level and temperature measurement with HART® communication A measurement uncertainty of max. 0.5 %, a long-term drift of 0.1 % and slight temperature errors make the WIKA LF-1 a reliable measurement solution for the monitoring of storage tanks. The additional analogue temperature output facilitates the compensation of a temperature-induced density error especially at temperatures of up to -40 … +80 °C. The integrated HART® communication can be used for scaling the measuring range and for the parameterisation of a unit, error signal, and others. Optimised electronics for battery operation The modern electronic system guarantees not only a high accuracy in the long term but also ensures a very long battery life thanks to the low power supply, low current consumption, fast response time and low-power output signals. HLS-M Float Switch

The WIKA HLS-M float switch for horizontal installation is ideal for use in miniature design due to its compact design. It is most commonly used for indicating minimum/maximum levels in small tanks. The HLS-M float is attached to a supported, swivelling lever and moves with the level of the medium being measured. By means of a permanent magnet, when a preset switch point is reached, a reed contact (inert gas contact) is actuated. By using a magnet and reed contact the switching operation is non-contact, free from wear and needs no power supply. The contacts are potential-free. The switching function refers to a rising liquid level: Standard use as normally open contact (can be used as normally closed contact by a 180° rotation). The float switch is simple to mount and maintenance-free, so the costs of mounting, commissioning and operation are low.

A slender design, highest accuracies, low temperature errors and an adjustable measuring range ensure the suitability of the LH-20 for all submerged level measurements. The WIKA LH-20 submersible pressure transmitter can adapt to countless applications and measuring media through a large number of features and options. Depending on the requirements, this level probe is available with, amongst other things, a titanium case, PUR/PE/FEP cable, 0.1 % accuracy, HART®, scaleability or parallel temperature output signal. For operation in hazardous environments, the LH-20 submersible pressure sensor is also available in an intrinsically safe version. For potable and fresh water applications, a potable water conformant product variant is possible in accordance with KTW and ACS. The WIKA LH-20 submersible pressure transmitter has been engineered for use in the harshest environments. Through a double, redundant sealing concept, it is permanently hermetically sealed. A robust design from stainless steel or titanium, with a spring-reinforced cable seal, ensures a long service life, even under the big mechanical loads of installation and continuous use. Designs with the highest media resistance using FEP cable and titanium cases, along with the integrated lightning protection, guarantee the longevity of the submersible pressure transmitter even under the most adverse environmental influences in aggressive media, in both indoor and outdoor use.
