The Riken Keiki RX-515, RX-516, RX-517 marine portable combination gas detectors are specially designed and developed for marine applications. When loading tanks are flushed with inert gases, the O2 content drops proportionally to some inert gases used. Catalytic EX sensors need a minimum content of oxygen in the sample gas to be able to measure combustible gases correctly. As this minimum content is not available, instruments with catalytic sensors are not suitable for conducting EX measurements in inert atmospheres. A solution to this problem is to use infrared technology sensors (NDIR). Infrared sensors measure concentrations of combustible gases reliably, even if O2 is not present. With the Riken Keiki RX-515, RX-516 or RX-517 and, its NDIR sensor you are well suited for this kind of application.

Built around high-quality micro-sensor technology, the Riken Keiki GX-2012 is the smallest personal 4 sensor gas monitor with a built-in sample pump. Weighing only 350g, two operating modes: Normal (for confined spaces) and bar hole. The GX-2012 can monitor the standard confined space gases (LEL combustibles, Oxygen content, Carbon Monoxide, and Hydrogen Sulfide), and it can also measure 100% volume Methane and dynamically display either % LEL, or % volume with its auto-ranging ability. The GX-2012 can be used for gas line purge testing as well as standard safety testing. The GX-2012™s large LCD display shows all gas readings, battery level, current time, and will automatically backlight in alarm conditions. Standard alarm types include vibration, visual, and audible alarms, which can be set to latching or unlatching. Controlled by a microprocessor, the GX-2012 continuously checks itself for sensor connections, low battery, circuit trouble, low flow, and calibration errors. The GX-2012 can interchangeably operate on either a Li-Ion battery pack or an alkaline battery pack. The batteries are simple to replace requiring no tools to access the removable battery compartment or pack. Calibration and bump test intervals and reminders are user adjustable and can be set to either go into alarm or to lock the user out of normal measurement mode once a calibration period has expired. Calibrations can be performed automatically or individually in a single calibration mode. The GX-2012 is also compatible with the economic DC2000_2012 single channel calibration station.

The Riken Keiki SD-1GP or SD-1GH Smart Transmitter / Gas Detector line of smart transmitters features state-of-the-art gas detectors with durable flameproof enclosure, best operability and maximum safety, especially in hydrogen/acethylene atmospheres. A simple magnetic control key is placed over clear marked positions on the surface plate to test and adjust the instrument without opening the transmitter in situations with the danger of explosion. The built-in microprocessor features a self-diagnosis function and automatic zero settings to minimise maintenance work and costs compared to other sensors. Dual alarm contacts or trouble alarm contact are provided for activation of external buzzer or alarm light. Powered by 24VDC, the unit has a 4-20mA output for communication to external controllers, for external readouts or alarming devices.
