Electronic Inclinometer
- Item #: 8318
Product Description
In July 2019, the IMO decided to equip all newly built container ships and bulk carriers with electronic inclinometers (with performance standards according to Resolution MSC.363(92)) mandatory.
The Hoppe Electronic Inclinometer can measure the actual heel angle and determine the amplitude of the rolling oscillation of the ship over a range of ± 90°. Furthermore, it can measure the time between the maximum values of the rolling oscillation and determine the roll period over a specific range. It provides all data with sufficient accuracy for a proper assessment of the ship™s dynamic situation.
In a reliable form, the Hoppe Electronic Inclinometer:
- Determines the actual heel angle of the ship
- Determines the roll amplitude of the vessel
- Determines the roll period of the vessel
- Presents all relevant information on a single display
The Hoppe Electronic Inclinometer can be interfaced directly to the VDR (NMEA 0183 $–HRM) and provides additional interfaces to the Bridge Alarm Monitoring System and the Central Dimming System.
